We are currently recruiting for a talented and experienced Engineer/Mate to join a single season, privately used 30m motor yacht. This is a permanent position with an ASAP start, offering standard days leave per year. The yacht is currently located in California and has exciting plans to cruise to places such as Mexico and beyond.

As the Engineer/Mate, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of the yacht’s engineering department. You will assume responsibility for planned maintenance, troubleshooting, and have confidence in managing the engine room of a yacht of this size.

We are looking for a candidate with at least 2 full years experience as an Engineer on vessels of similar size or larger. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of the engine room, including maintenance of the generators, AC and basic electrical skills. As the Engineer/Mate, you will also need to assist the Captain with navigation over long watches as well as have good tender driving skills.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as an Engineer on yachts of 30m or larger.
  • Valid B1/B2 Visa in hand.
  • Excellent verifiable references and all relevant certificates in hand.
  • Start date: ASAP.
